Excavator

Excavators are a type of heavy equipment that is commonly used in relation to larger projects, such as construction. There are types called mini excavators and types called wheel excavators to name a few. Many times Mini Excavators are used for smaller projects; however, excavators are helpful for any project that is beyond the capacity and capability of a group of people.

Excavators and mini excavators are designed with an arm that can be maneuvered to scoop of things up and then pile them where you can either dispose of them or use them for something else. These types of excavators and mini excavators are usually found to be on a rotating type of platform much like you see on a tank. These rolling maneuvers help the mini excavator and the larger excavators roll to their destination where they can then pick up and scoop the materials and parts that need to be moved.

There are other kinds of excavators, and they vary with the designs of the machines to help with the efficiency for the many different possible tasks. For instance, there is a design that is now labeled the wheel excavator. This design of an excavator is the same as the mini excavator, in that it has an arm that can be maneuvered to work heavy material, as well as a control booth from which to be operated in. The difference between the excavator and the wheel excavator is in the process with which it moves. The wheel excavator has actual wheel on the bottom as apposed to the rotating platform.
